Mechanical Resource Group, an HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization, is seeking an Equipment Outside Sales Executive. We’re looking for an Outside Salesperson to join our New System Sales team to build strong relationships with contractors and engineers in the Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southern Illinois area.
Mechanical Resource Group is based in Nashville, TN and this position would require weekly travel to our office.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the MRG sales team to deliver high-quality solutions that align with client expectations and company objectives.
Increase MRG’s influence and market presence among assigned mechanical contractors and engineering firms.
Manage project estimates, proposals, and pricing feedback to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Coordinate submittals, pricing, and quality assurance in accordance with MRG’s established processes.
Oversee the release and execution of projects, ensuring smooth delivery from shipment through job closeout.
Support sales and marketing efforts through client entertainment, technical events, and relationship-building initiatives.
Partner with factory application engineers and vendor partners to develop optimal pricing and equipment solutions.
Review and interpret project plans and specifications, identifying potential design or pricing challenges.
Prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and value engineering solutions to meet project requirements and timelines.
Maintain accurate and organized documentation of quotes, estimates, and technical data.
Collaborate across MRG departments to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality project execution.
Actively participate in the development and execution of the Annual Sales Plan tied to assigned accounts and sales responsibilities.
Support the creation, validation, and quarterly review of Account Plans in coordination with Account Managers and sales leadership.
Ensure projected revenue reflects recurring, relationship-based business and aligns with agreed-upon account strategies.
Contribute to accurate forecasting and cash flow visibility by maintaining disciplined tracking of opportunities and account activity.
Support informed decision-making by identifying risks, assumptions, and dependencies within assigned accounts.
Sales engineers must take part in the yearly sales and account planning to ensure that they correctly represent and consistently manage all accounts, sales opportunities, and income forecasts.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
3–5 years of HVAC sales or engineering experience required.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, hydronics, and mechanical design principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Bluebeam preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
